What’s good about Singapore is that even if it’s a very expensive city, you still can explore and have a good time without having to sell all of your organs. Because, besides its numerous parks and bucolic escapades, taking a stroll in Singapore is a very good way to connect yourself with the city-state’s history, and moreover to blow your mind with the crazy unique architecture. Come on, let’s take a walk (on the wild side) in Singapore!
That’s why when Gina asked me to come with her to Bali, on her stopover to fly back to Germany, I cheerfully answered YES. I jumped with joy when I figured out that Selena will be coming as well: I’m going to be reunited with my Napier Girls!
A quick overview of my two weeks stay in Auckland, where I stayed at the Verandahs Backpacker Lodge, the best place in the city to start a year journey in New Zealand. Okay, well maybe I’m exaggerating a little, but this hostel was a good start to meet some genuinely awesome people!
Going to the Ghibli Museum is already an adventure in itself. First, you have to get some tickets, which is not an easy task. You have to book the tickets a few months in advance, through a specific french travel agency (http://www.specialistejapon.fr/ghibli-museum-mitaka) or you can buy the tickets on a vending machine in a konbini. Since I didn’t manage to have some tickets from the french travel agency (all teh tickets were sold out even two months in advance !), Noriko, my penpal, managed to buy me some tickets and send them to me :
It was settled. I had my date with Totoro on June 22th (2015) at 14 :00.
