Les Aventures d'une Baroudeuse en carton // Tales of a Novice Adventurer.
For a long time, I was only ordering one thing on the menu: the no name noodles. That’s the only line I would memorize from the menu (obviously only written in Chinese): 無名麵 (Wúmíng miàn) – 60$. As a consequence, we would also call the restaurant this way: the no name noodles restaurant.
I still remember how I felt like a teenager, holding this giant stuffed shark in Vita’s bed, talking about love and French boys before falling sound asleep. It seems that getting older doesn’t make us stop being confused about love issues. She taught me Chinese chess, I taught her French. Her mother kept saying ‘Je suis contente!’ ‘- I’m happy- while I was trying to improve saying the four Chinese tones. I felt part of the Lung family, and it was heartwarming.
I landed in the city-state a little bit randomly.
When I decided to go back to France after my year wandering in New Zealand, I was wondering where I could stop on my way back this time. On my way to Auckland, I realized a long-time dream: going to Japan. Which new land could I explore on my way back home? Impulsively, I booked a stopover in Singapore. I met Brenna, a Singaporean girl, while I was helping at Stewart Island Smoked Salmon. We got along pretty well and my eyes were sparkling and my taste buds all excited when she was telling me about her country. This would be a perfect occasion to see her again.
Well, that was settled, I was going to Singapore!

Amongst the weird-but-so-cool things I wanted to try in Japan, there was
THE MOOMIN CAFE!
Ex-libraire, boulimique d’images et de rêveries en papier. Reconvertie en agent de voyages adepte de nouveaux horizons. Reconvertie en apprentie baroudeuse. Baroudeuse en carton depuis 2015 en Nouvelle-Zélande, au Japon, à Bali, à Singapour, à Taïwan, à Hong-Kong, en Equateur et au Mexique. J’ai chopé la bougeotte et je compte bien ne pas m’arrêter là.
